Design has always been a way for me to bring together the things I genuinely enjoy: creativity, technology, games, and storytelling. I’m a cat-loving designer who is always curious about how things are made and how people experience them. Whether I’m designing a website, creating a social media post, working on a game, editing a short video, or exploring a new interactive idea, I enjoy finding ways to make something feel thoughtful, engaging, and uniquely my own.

I chose to study at California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) because of my love for video games and my curiosity about everything that happens behind the screen. Growing up playing games, I often found myself wondering how the worlds I was exploring were created—not just through programming, but through art, characters, storytelling, sound, level design, and all the small creative decisions that make a game feel alive. Studying game development helped me see just how much collaboration, planning, problem-solving, and creativity goes into bringing an idea to life.

As I explored game design, I also discovered how much I enjoyed UX/UI and web design. I became interested in the way people interact with technology and how design can influence the way someone feels while using a website, app, or digital experience. I like putting myself in the user’s perspective, asking questions, trying different approaches, and figuring out how to make an experience feel more intuitive and enjoyable.

Outside of design, I’m someone who enjoys learning by doing. I like experimenting, getting curious about new tools, and taking on projects that challenge me to think differently. Not every idea works perfectly the first time, but I’ve learned to enjoy that part of the process because it gives me an opportunity to grow and discover something new.

At the end of the day, I want to create work that feels purposeful but also has a little bit of personality behind it. I’m still exploring where my design journey will take me, and that’s something I’m excited about. There’s always another skill to learn, another idea to experiment with, and another story to tell through design.
